Current Projects in Development

Our primary goal has been to develop sustainable particulate removal to alleviate personal exposure to pollution.

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, we have been working with UCL and others to develop a specific Covid-19 mask.

Covid-19 Mask

Rapid design and development to help minimise exposure to this disease and save lives

Particulate Removal Device

We have developed and patented a novel approach to the removal of particulates which can be incorporated in mask form. The design overcomes the issues of pressure drop, air entrainment and loss of filter efficiency, and the resulting product is also re-usable.

Indrawn air passes through a labyrinthine path. Specifically-placed baffles alter airflow in such a way as to reduce the ‘boundary layer’ between the air and the mask walls. In addition, multiple areas of ‘slowed flow’ are created. These effects allow particles to be removed via deposition, impaction and adsorption.

Covid-19 Mask

With our partners at UCL we have designed a specific mask and visor to minimise exposure to the airborne particles that pass on the Covid-19 disease.

We have sub-licenced our design to Fortify Industries, who has rapidly assembled a consortium of companies bringing unique capabilities – for example legal, design, manufacturing, regulation
